It is designed to help businesses maintain and develop deep relationship with their customers and prospects by sending bulk emails. That’s why newsletter software is also called email marketing software, mailing list management software, or bulk emailing software. Generally, newsletter software at least supports the following functions:

With the functional tracking feature of the Newsletter software, you can easily get the information of your recipients’ interest and purchase intention according to the statistical report, then divide customers into different value groups. Therefore, you can optimize limited resource and energy according customer value to achieve organizational performance.

set an hourly rate. Basically thats what you think your worth based on your design quality and experience. Then figure out how many hours it’ll take to create the email. Give them an estimate like 3-6 hrs @ $ 50/hr or whatever and then give em a total….
Theres no real set price here, as with anything in independent design work.
*Make sure to use a contract….checkout http://www.aiga.com for a good contract and proposal you can customize and use to fit your needs.

Question by Andrew: How do you create a email newsletter?
I need help in creating a email newsletter to send out to all of my contacts. Can someone guide me through or give me a step by step tutorial on how this is done.
I don’t have a clue on how to create or send out. I have experience in web programming languages and will be capable in building the email page.

Do you need help in creating the newsletter or sending it out?
To send it out: There are different ways that you can go about doing this. You can either create your newsletter and then send it out as an attached pdf (which does allow for more graphics) but there is a chance that some of your contacts may not open it because they are afraid of getting a virus, or it may not get passed their spam filter.
The best way to do this, in my opinion, would be to create an html code so you can place the newsletter directly into the body of the email, which will insure delivery to all of your contacts.
To create: Check out boxedart.com and download a template. They have great templates to work from that you can download then edit with photoshop (WORKS GREAT! You get a ton of detail). Or if you have MS Publisher you create one in there.

Desktop publishing is a money-making industry. From simple computer applications in 1985 when it was first introduced to the highly-sophisticated and advanced layout systems today, this field offers huge possibilities: you can become an artist, a graphic designer or a self published author. Whichever your chosen path, there are many ways to make an income in this exciting field.
Before the advent of home computer based publishing, people had to hire professionals to use huge machines to design brochures, newspapers, magazines, books and newsletters. Needless to say, design and layout were only for the skilled few. But today, virtually anyone can do design and layout as competently as any professional who works for big publishers thanks to the advent of desktop publishing!
There are a number of programs that allow you to design with ease and some training. These desk top publishing software packages are constantly evolving and coming out with new and more advanced features.Today, there are a number of desktop publishing programs that cater to various publishing needs. There are those that are designed for professionals and artists and limited capability programs that are designed for small businesses that want to layout their own brochures, newsletters, logos and flyers.
Some of the big name desktop publishing programs include Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress and Adobe PageMaker. InDesign and Quark are professionally geared software programs that allow multiple designers to work on the same project at one time, but are also used by artists and indie and small self publishing houses. These software packages require computers with fast processors and a large amount of memory to handle big projects. PageMaker, another graphic design package is geared more to the home user. It’s an excellent tool that is intuitive and user-friendly and can be used to design brochures, flyers, newsletters and other projects. Getting the right software package will make all the difference in your desk top publishing career.
Speaking of careers, you can make lots of money with desktop publishing. You can develop your aesthetic skills and become a full-fledged artist or become an independent graphic designer who designs printed and electronic designs for various clients. Of course, if you want to take this path, take a course on how to make big money running a desktop publishing business from home. You can attract a local clientele or build a web site that attracts clients from all over the world.
There is so much you can do in this dynamic and thriving field. All you need is to experiment, get your creative juices flowing and of course, learn the business end of desktop publishing.
Newsletters have become an increasingly popular way to communicate and it isn’t hard to see why. Back in the days when printing was the only method of publishing a newsletter, the rules were different.
The production costs (print & distribution) were high and this excluded many people from producing their own newsletters.
But with the Internet and Email, the rules have completely changed…
Nowadays newsletters are incredibly cheap to produce and distribute over the Net. This fact has led to an explosion in the number of titles. And whilst it’s impossible to know precisely, one recent credible estimate said that there are between 2 and 300,000 newsletter titles published on the web and via email each month!
OBSCURE INTEREST GROUPS NOW HAVE THEIR OWN NEWSLETTERS
The ultra low cost of producing a newsletter, combined with the global nature of the Internet, has meant that any band of people with an obscure minority interest can now viably publish their own newsletter.
Hence most Internet newsletters have a distribution of less than a thousand and many have memberships in the low hundreds or less.
THOUSANDS OF NEW NEWSLETTER EDITORS
But the explosion in newsletter titles has led to a whole band of first-time newsletter editors. Many of them are home based. Nearly all of them under-resourced for the writing task ahead.
So here’s one useful tip that during my lengthy newsletter editing career, I’ve used successfully many hundreds of times. I call it:
“How To Write A Newsletter Without Doing ALL The Hard Work”
One of the greatest challenges for any newsletter editor is not as the job title suggests ‘editing’, but finding or producing the content. Some people view newsletter editors in the same light as magazine editors. Nice comparison shame it just isn’t true!
You see a magazine editor probably has a sub-editor, a photographer, a picture editor and a number of reporters or feature writers. They probably still complain that they are badly under-resourced. But they are not compared with you of course.
So you’ve got to learn a few shortcuts! Here’s one to start with:
CONDUCT AN INTERVIEW AND TAPE IT.
Get hold of a key member of staff, head of the sailing club, whoever is appropriate to your newsletter. Tell them that you know that there’s an audience out there who would just love to hear about his/her views and that you’re coming down to do an interview (this can be done over the phone if need be).
Now set your Voice Recorder, Answering Machine or Dictaphone running and ask the key questions you know your readership is waiting to hear the answers to.
Remember to ask the open ended questions. Those are the ones starting with; who, what, why, when, where and how.
Remember you want to keep the content as interesting as possible. And there’s nothing more interesting to the reader than hearing about something that answers a problem that they have. So keep the interview rich in problem solving and benefits and you can’t go far wrong.
When you’ve finished the interview off you go with say 20-30 minutes of recording and your job is simply to play it back and write it out, editing as you go.
Question by Sasha: I need Help putting a template on my Yahoo Small Business website.?
I have purchased a template. I have a website using Yahoo small business. I am trying to figure out how to put this template on to my site. I really need help. I am familiar with HTML but not CSS and it uses alot of CSS.
Here are the instructions it gives me:
BASIC TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS
Before getting started you should always duplicate this folder in another location, in order to refer back to original documents when needed.
In order to use the same fonts as the sample file you will need to copy and paste the fonts located in your FONTS folder, into your fonts’ folder on your computer. Location Of folder: My Computer/WINDOWS/fonts
Refer to the style.css file (located inside the SITE folder, folder name: styles] along with the html web pages) when needing to modify your text, colors, and some background images and colors. View your source code to identify which items you want to modify. This web template is designed in advanced cascading style sheets format. In order to work with this template you will need some understanding of how to use cascading style sheets. To learn more go to http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp.
THERE ARE 2 VERSIONS OF LAYOUT DESIGN TO CHOOSE FROM.
All web template files for the table-based site are located in the folder named “TABLE BASED SITE”. All web template files for the CSS site are located in the folder named “CSS TABLELESS SITE”.
To modify your Business Logo, open the image called “logo-header.psd”, located in your SLICED PSD FILES folder. To do this you will need Adobe Photoshop- or any other software program that handles PSD files. While modifying your logo/header image you may find it easier to embed your “service times/join us” information with it. If you do this, simply delete the current “join us” text/css info from each page.
Remember to save the file, in the appropriate format(jpg or gif), to the images folder. Also, be sure that your HTML code reflects your re-named image(s). The same applies to all the images that are modifiable in the SLICED PSD FILES folder.
Alternatively, if you do not have Adobe Photoshop you can download a free software program called GIMP (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-sharp/) that works similarly to Adobe Photoshop. Another option, if you have difficulty editing your images, is to use the blank images provided inside the blank-extra images folder found in the main directory. ALSO NOTE: There are blank images that can be used in any type of graphic editor inside the folder named “blank images”.
All sample text has been left in the template for you to highlight and simply replace with your own text. Again, to modify any of the font colors, sizes, etc, refer to the style.css file (found inside the “styles” folder).
For Dreamweaver user’s wanting to edit the content within a scrolling div tag, simply select the outer layer and then double-click. The layer will then expand and you will be able to edit your text without going into the code view.
A text navigation bar sample page (nav-sample.html) and css has also been provided for those who find it challenging to change the graphic button images.
Please be sure the entire SITE folder is uploaded to your server, including: images folder, styles folder, and all html pages.
Our templates do not include any additional scripts. All forms such as search fields, newsletter subscription, or contact information are inactive. By definition, these forms are dynamic functions that require customized setup between the end user and his or her server/host company.
ANYONE CAN HELP? PLEASE!

Email marketing is a successful online marketing method. Successful by being able to measure the success of every email campaign, tracking every open time and read time for each email. HTML emails done correctly, offer a better conversion rate, and people choose HTML over plain text format more often.
So, here’s a list to help all email marketers and designers create the perfect email, and make sure it appears as you intended on your customers computers. If you feel I’ve missed any important ones, feel free to leave a comment.
Make no mistake, HTML email design and development is a complete minefield. There are very few rules that you can rely upon across all mail clients. Let’s do this:
1. USE INLINE CSS + TABLES
External and internal style sheets are ignored by a number of email clients. Back to the old school with tables too. Yes, it means going back to 1999 coding, and does make the code heavy, but it means you can guarantee locking down the styles to be correct in the ‘majority’ of email clients.
2. EMAIL TEMPLATES
Unless you have extensive personal experience to draw on,
you’re most likely going to want start with a template that gets most of the fundamentals right. Save yourself some time, find some inspiration templates.
3. USE ABSOLUTE DIMENSIONS
In pixels for all measurements. For example, give images and tables exact pixel dimensions – so the browser knows exactly how to display it. Email clients are not as forgiving as web browsers.
4. THE DESIGN
The width of the email design to be no more than 600 pixels wide, so the full width of the email can be seen in the view port in email preview mode.
5. ACCESSIBILITY
Make sure it is readable, with images turned off does the email make sense? By default images are not displayed in most email clients (unless you have added the address to your contacts), also not creating the best look for your company.
Image of email in web-mail client (Gmail) – notice that the email doesn’t make much sense with the images turned off? This can be improved by adding copy to the ALT attribute in the html code:
Use Alt attributes - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/alt Use anchor link as well to take people to important subheadings in your email Last resort – have a prominent link to your web versionof the same email
6. FANTASTIC COPYWRITING
Attention grabbing headlines that will make users want to read more and click through. The attention grabbing information should be already visible in the viewport area when the email loads, very few people will scroll – like on web pages unless they like the information, drawing them down the page.
Image of email in web-mail client (Thunderbird) – notice that even with the images turned off the email still reads well, with the headline drawing you into the main content of the email. Simple design, yet to the point and easy to read, effective.
7. CSS SUPPORT IN EMAIL CLIENTS
Enter The email standards project www.email-standards.org.
These guys have taken the email design issue by the scruff of the neck and are actually getting Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook to take notice of the need for Email standards compliance.
Currently we grade the email clients in the following way:
The Angel’s Choir:
Strong and generally reliable HTML rendering capabilities – Thunderbird, AppleMail, and Opera Mail
You can essentially treat these mail clients as if they are normal, modern browsers.
The Muddlers:
This group includes the majority of the remaining mail clients and includes Outlook 2003, Outlook Express, and Yahoo Mail.
While you’ll probably encounter some variability in their renderings — often in text size and margins/padding – the Muddlers will generally honour your page layout.
The Legion of Doom:
Each uses their own unique but evil super-powers to subvert and destroy your HTML
Outlook 2007, Gmail, Lotus notes – rewrite CSS, padding/margins, no positioning support, removes backgrounds.
8. TESTING
Use www.litmusapp.com which sends back how your email looks on the following email clients:
Web-based email clients
* AOL Web
* Comcast
* Earthlink
* Gmail
* Mail.com
* MSN Hotmail
* Windows Live Hotmail
* Yahoo! Classic
* Yahoo! Mail
Desktop email clients
* AOL 9
* Lotus Notes 6.5.4
* Outlook 2003
* Outlook 2007
* Outlook Express 6
* Outlook XP
* Thunderbird
* Windows Mail (actually, what is that?)
Mobile email clients
* Blackberry
* Windows Mobile 5
* Windows Mobile 6
9 . THE FUTURE
At various sites there are thousands of new subscribers to html newsletters every single month. And those subscribers still always choose HTML over plain text at a rate of 15-20 to 1. In short, while we might not like it, your clients probably prefer HTML email, and so does their audience.
10. STICK WITH IT
Use the templates, HTML formats are here to stay so remember to keep it simple as possible, and test early and often.

A newsletter or e-zine is a very effective tool for an e-commerce business. Studies have shown that the primary reason customers will stop buying from you is due to a lack of communication. If you want to keep the customers you currently have, you need to strengthen your relationship with them using a newsletter program as your form of communication. Once you have a continuous relationship with your customers, it becomes much easier to continue selling to them over and over again.
There are a number of elements you should include and different factors to think about when creating your own newsletter program. Here is a list of some key features a good e-commerce website newsletter should have:
Feature announcement of new products
Provide customers with special promotions or discounts
Make sure the layout of your newsletter resembles your site, including header and tabs
Keep it brief, the less content the better
Have consistent delivery of your newsletter, try not to send out too many or too little
Give important information that coincides with your products such as consumer reports or recent news
Include numerous calls to action such as banners, text links and buttons that will send the subscriber directly to specific pages on your website
Add an ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the footer section of each newsletter and make sure a form is added on the unsubscribe page asking for feedback
There are several benefits of having a website newsletter in addtion to your ecommerce store. The main purpose of having a newsletter program is to develop customer loyalty and get more repeat business. Recent studies show that current customers on average spend 33% more than new customers and the ones that belong to customer loyalty programs generally will spend 4x as much. Your website newsletter serves an important function of constantly reminding people of your brand and getting them familiar with your new products. Unless you have a newsletter, people tend to forget about your e-commerce store almost immediately after they make a purchase. Don’t count on your customers to actively return to your website on an ongoing basis to learn about new product offerings or promotions. That is why it’s so important to have a newsletter program, it is one of the best communication tools that an ecommerce business can have. Your subscriber list is the most targeted market available. They have bought from you once, they know and trust your business, they clearly have an interest in your products and there’s a much higher likelihood that they will buy from you over a new customer. Your subscribers will also be appreciative of the fact that they are one of the first people to know about new products, promotions or discounts.
Any good e-commerce solution should be able to offer basic features for implementing a website newsletter program for your online store. Here is a list of important things to look for:
Have a newsletter program built into your store admin allowing you to create and send newsletters directly from your web interface
Gather names, emails and other data that you specify
Be able to verify whether or not email addresses are valid
Be able to customize the design of your newsletter
Give subscribers the ability to unsubscribe at any time
Include a special newsletter sign up feature in the checkout area
Aside from having your website newsletter sign up box prominently displayed on your homepage and included in the checkout, there are many other methods you can use to build your subscriber list. It is important for visitors to be able to see your newsletter sign up information on every page that they land on. This can be achieved by placing either an opt-in box, banner, image link or text link on the header, footer or sidebar of your ecommerce web site. You can also include a ‘Tell a Friend’ page or have that feature show up after checkout to collect names and emails of your current customers’ friends. Other methods of building your website newsletter program mailing list include setting up contests where contestants have to give their emails and the winner receives a prize from your e-commerce site. This is a marketing technique used by a lot of well known online retailers and it can really help build your list quickly. You can market your contest on blogs, forums and other social media web sites.
Design Email Newsletters with a Email Newsletters Design software is crucial for maintaining communication with your customers. You need to have a solid newsletter feature to simplify the process of creating and sending it out to your subscribers.

When people visit your website, most won’t make a purchase immediately, perhaps only 0.4% to 6%. What about the rest?
It’s imperative that you get visitors to subscribe to your e-mail newsletter; otherwise they are gone for good. This way you’ll be able to market to them again and again and greatly increase their chances of making a purchase.
Securing that subscription should be your very top priority. Put a subscription box on every page in your website, perhaps at the top right or left corner of your webpage.
Once you’ve added a subscription page to your site, you can promote your e-mail newsletter several ways.
Work with your Web host to ensure proper e-zine publishing. Most hosts require your e-zine subscriber list to be an opt-in list.
Get your articles published in ezines. Make sure that your article resource box (the info that appears about you at the end of your article) includes your compelling offer to get readers to sign up for your newsletter and receive your free gift.
Make sure to protect your visitors privacy. Always assure customers that you won’t sell their names or give away their private information. States your privacy policy.
Also, Let your website viewers in on a little personal information about you. The Internet is one cold place so add some “warmth” to your website. It will pay off in a big way for you!
Use these tips to build a lucrative e-mail newsletter!
Targeted e-mail newsletter is a highly recommended marketing strategy for making more money online.
Here’s an example, picked at random, of a website featured on a top design gallery as an example of the cream of the crop. What’s the bet there are all sorts of things wrong with it though?
Email newsletters have come a long way since the old dial up days when BBS systems were the best way to get information out on a regular basis. Now Millions of users subcrive to regularry schedualed and delivered Email Newsletters. Email Newsletters are still a very successful communications medium for both publishers and readers. Publishers can track rates for email opens, forwards, and clickthroughs, and can easily measure content interest by readership and demographic. Email Newsletters are easier to scan and navigate, than plain text email.
Other advances in HTML email in the last couple of years include the formation of the Email Standards Project, which aims to test the compliance of email software to HTML and CSS standards and to lobby for improvements; the emergence of services for testing how HTML email renders in various desktop and web-based email applications; and the availability of HTML email templates that you can either use “as is” or customize to your preferences. We’ll look at some of these services and templates throughout this article.
Whether you choose to code your HTML email by hand or to use an existing template, there are two fundamental concepts to keep in mind when Design Email Newsletters:
1. When Design Email Newsletters Use HTML tables to control the design layout and some presentation. You may be used to using pure CSS layouts for your web pages, but that approach just won’t hold up in an email environment.
2. When Design Email Newsletters Use inline CSS to control other presentation elements within your email, such as background colors and fonts.
The quickest and easiest way to Design Email Newsletters and see how HTML tables and inline CSS interact within an HTML email is to download some templates from Campaign Monitor and MailChimp. When you open up one of these templates, you’ll notice a few things that we’ll discuss in more detail later:
CSS style declarations appear below the body tag, not between the head tags.
No CSS shorthand is used: instead of using the abbreviated style rule font: 12px/16px Arial, Helvetica, you should instead break this shorthand into its individual properties: font-family, font-size, and line-height.
spans and divs are used sparingly to achieve specific effects, while HTML tables do the bulk of the layout work.
CSS style declarations are very basic, and do not make use of any CSS.
When Design Email Newsletters Step 1: Use HTML Tables for Layout
That’s right: tables are back, big time! Web standards may have become the norm for coding pages for display in web browsers, but this isn’t the Web, baby. Mail clients are light years behind the eight-ball in terms of CSS support, which means that we must resort to using tables for layout if we really want our newsletters to display consistently for every reader (see the reading list at the end of this article for some excellent resources on CSS support in mail clients).
So put your standards-compliant best practices and lean markup skills aside: we’re about to get our hands dirty!
The first step in creating an HTML email is to decide what kind of layout you want to use. For newsletters, single column and two-column layouts work best, because they control the natural chaos that results when a large amount of content is pushed into such a small space as an email.
A single-column layout typically consists of:
a header, containing a logo and some (or all) of the navigation links from the parent web site to reinforce the branding and provide familiarity for site visitors
intra-email links to stories that appear further down in the email
a footer at the bottom of the email, which often contains links that are identical to the top navigation, as well as instructions for unsubscribing
Two-column emails also use a header and footer. Like a two-column web page, they typically use a narrow, side column to house features and links to more information, while the wider column holds the body content of the email.
Promotional emails follow similar rules but contain much less in the way of content and links. They often include one or two messages, and sometimes make use of one big image with small explanatory text and some links below the image.
All of these email layout possibilities can be created easily, using HTML tables to divide up the space into rows and columns. In fact, using HTML tables is the only way to achieve a layout that will render consistently across different mail clients.
No matter how your email newsletter is designed, it’s important to remember that the most important content should appear at or near the top of the email, so it is visible immediately when a reader opens your email. The top left of an email message is often the first place people look when they open an email.

The Institute for Spam and Internet Public Policy (ISIPP) has announced a new companion program to its popular Email Senders Accreditation program. The new program, called the Email Senders Accreditation Companion Program, is geared especially for commercial email senders who send their marketing or advertising campaigns or other bulk mailings out through an Email Service Provider (ESP), but who would also like to have their transactional email and corporate communications accredited.
ISIPP’s Email Senders Accreditation Program, which also goes by the nickname “IADB” for the ‘ISIPP Accreditation Database’, provides accredited senders’ information to ISPs, spam filters, and other email receivers, who use the information to help them make email processing and delivery decisions. Email senders who are accredited through ISIPP enjoy some of the highest email delivery rates available, in a time when legitimate commercial email is increasingly being erroneously filtered as ‘spam’.
“What we have found is that many email senders who are already using one of our accredited email service providers for their direct mail campaigns also want to be able to have their transactional email and regular day-to-day email communications accredited, as even these messages are not always making it into the inbox. And these are the messages that are the most likely to be mission-critical, such as messages containing confirmations, instructions or requests which are on a deadline,” explained Anne Mitchell, President and CEO of ISIPP.
“The Companion Program was developed at the request of email senders who wanted become accredited with ISIPP and have the same benefits of accreditation for their main email communications as they are already enjoying for their bulk mailings through their ISIPP-accredited ESPs,” added Mitchell. “We’ve had a very enthusiastic response to the program, and customers who now have their transactional and corporate email accredited with us include MarketingSherpa and Lockergnome.”
The Companion Program is open to any email sender who uses the services of any of ISIPP’s accredited ESPs, which include ExactTarget, e-Dialog, Innovyx, ConstantContact, Informz, and Aweber. Email senders who don’t use one of these email service providers, or who service their own mass mailings in-house, are also encouraged to contact ISIPP.
“Not everyone can take advantage of the Companion Program, but they may well qualify for our primary Email Senders Accreditation Program,” explained Mitchell. “We have lots of email senders accredited through us who do their own mailings, including CNet, Date.com, and IndieWire.”
“With our Email Senders Accreditation Program’s affordable pricing, month-to-month service with no time commitment, and money-back guarantee, we truly offer something for everyone, from the mom and pop newsletter all the way up to the largest email senders,” she added.

Real estate agents can now easily send a regular newsletter to clients and prospects by email, thanks to a new service launched this week.
Ready to Go Newsletters, which has helped hundreds of Realtors build relationships with clients using print newsletters, is now offering an email service, which real estate agents can try for free.
“My print real estate newsletter service has been enormously successful,” says Simon Payn, of Ready to Go Newsletters.
“Realtors write and tell me how much they love their newsletter, how much their clients enjoy receiving it and, most importantly, how much extra business they are getting because of their newsletter,” says Payn.

That changes this week with the launch of Ready to Go Newsletters’ email service.
The real estate newsletter provider has partnered with leading email delivery specialist Vertical Response to provide an easy way for real estate agents to send email newsletters to their clients and prospects.
Payn says Realtors can now send an attractive and effective real estate e-newsletter in as little as 15 minutes.

After three years in the game, the WordPress Diva is putting her web properties, themes, and content on the market. There are three websites in the WordPress Diva portfolio, two being redirected to wpdiva.com, and 31 high quality WordPress themes. The site sees roughly 750 visitors and an average 1500 pageviews per day, and has 125 confirmed theme newsletter subscribers.
The Diva has decided to sell because she currently has too many projects on her plate and would like to see the WP Diva brand and website flourish, even if not under her care. The website has a low overhead, with only hosting and annual domain renewal as expenses.
WordPress community sites can generate revenue through a number of channels including contextual advertising, link sales, premium theme sales, banner adverts, affiliate marketing, and even custom blog design. WPDiva.com already has the traffic in place to get the ball rolling. With a little time and some effort, the website can be turned into a powerhouse community and has a remarkable profit potential.
Upon successful completion of the sale, the Diva will be happy to transfer the domain names (wpdiva.com, wordpressdiva.com, and wordpressqueen.com) to the new owners as well as transfer the files and content over to the new owner’s web hosting service. The website runs on the WordPress software. The content includes the information currently visible on the website and the raw files for the 31 available themes and the site’s current theme.
Question by petemc67: Would a personal style quarterly newsletter sent to clients be a good product to market to mortgage brokers?
I have created a newsletter that a broker can send to his/her clients. It is part of a client retention strategy. Four quarterly newsletters written in the brokers voice.
The newsletter is 4 pages. Some interesting info about the broker on the front page. A thank you and referall section on the 2nd page. Funny Cartoons and a word search on the 3rd. The last page has a recipe section. I usually get the broker’s spouses name and sort of make it there section. Like one broker I do this for…his wife’s name is connie, so that section is Connie’s Corner. I write it in 1st person format. The idea is to make it look like the broker spent time to produce this. I also throw in a birthday card. All this for $ 25.00/yr/client.

Answer by aroundtheom I hate to be vague, but it depends on the clients. If they are busy and usually have their assistants do a lot of things then it might be a waste. However, if they are everyday folks it might not be bad idea. I would actually love to see a newsletter generated for the 20-30 crowd–there are a lot out there that don’t know too much about investing but what to… hmm biz idea?! you can email me too to get some more thoughts:) But, most 20-30 year old I know don’t use brokers…missed market– perhaps
After dropping a couple of years fumbling around making revenue online here and there, I have determined the heartiest, uniform way of doing it is to make e-mail marketing fundamental to your sales scheme!
I naively sent traffic straight to merchant web sites utilizing affiliate links. Some time later, I produced landing pages so visitors would “see” something new before making it to the merchant web site, while I neglected to utilize an opt in form.
